Posted @withregram • @freedomride.rescue Every year in the days leading up to the 4th of July, shelters fill up with dogs who have run away in fear of the fireworks. If your dog doesn’t have a dog tag, be sure to write your number on some tape and tape it to their collar or harness just in case they get loose.

Posted @withregram • @taralynn_andco I thought about switching careers earlier this year. 😳 The triagle had lost our mobile low-cost spay/neuter program SNAP. Then the Wake County Animal Center stopped taking owner surrenders. My mind could only think of one thing…all the animals who would most likely be let loose and abandoned only to make the overpopulation issue worse and then more dogs and cats needlessly being euthanized. My solution 👉🏼 Go to vet school and perform free spay/neuter surgeries! 🤣 For real. This is where my mind immediately went. Until I realized 1) I’m horrible at science. 2) it would take years 3) I’d be too poor paying off student loans to ever actually give away “free” surgeries.
